Sher Fertility New York’s Jr. Embryologist, Jennifer Del Polito
Sher Fertility New York’s Jr. Embryologist, Jennifer Del Polito, who joined the New York clinic, answers a few questions about herself and shares some thoughts on what makes what she does so rewarding:
I became an embryologist because … I was given an opportunity right out of college to get trained and work in the infertility field, so I took a chance on it, and it ended up being one of the best decisions I’ve ever made!
I like working in the lab at Sher Fertility Institute because … I was given an opportunity to work under & receive training by some incredibly talented people.
I have been an embryologist … For three years, including one year at Sher.
My training and educational background includes … Obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Caldwell University. After graduation I started off as an Andrology/Endocrinology Lab Technician, shortly after began my training as an Embryologist. I am now currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Embryology & Andrology.
Patients can rest assured … That the labs across the Sher network are constantly evolving and improving the quality of care that we provide to all of our patients.
The hardest part of my job is … Getting to know our patients and watching them go through failed cycles.
The most rewarding aspect of my job is … Seeing all of our hard work make a difference in our patients lives.
The one thing I wish our patients understood better is … That there is always a light at the end of the tunnel – all it takes is one good embryo
One little-know-fact about me is … I’m a huge animal lover!
