New Era at SIRM-St. Louis
Important Announcement: Changes at SIRM-St. Louis
Nov. 20, 2012
We would like to take this opportunity to let you know about some upcoming changes at the Sher Institute for Reproductive Medicine in St. Louis.
After 11 years as Medical Director, Peter Ahlering, MD will be departing SIRM St. Louis at the end of January, 2013. More than a decade ago, Dr. Ahlering trained under SIRM Founder Geoffrey Sher, MD, and together with an outstanding management and clinical team, they established SIRM St. Louis as one of the premier fertility treatment programs in the nation.
Please join us in thanking Dr. Ahlering for his dedication and leadership, and wishing him well in his future endeavors.
As part of this transition, Geoffrey Sher MD, co-founder of the Sher Institute for Reproductive Medicine (SIRM) and a leader in the field of infertility will take the reins as Medical Director. He will be establishing a residence in St. Louis in order to treat patients onsite and to maintain SIRM’s high standard of care. (Read more about Dr. Sher HERE)
We are also excited to announce the addition of an outstanding physician to the SIRM-St. Louis team. Molina Dayal, MD, MPH (at right), is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist with ten years’ experience who will join Dr. Sher to care for SIRM-St. Louis patients. Dr. Dayal is known for her dedication, compassion, and sterling credentials. She will be the only female board-certified reproductive endocrinologist in private practice in the Greater St. Louis area. (Read more about Dr. Dayal HERE)
Dr. Sher and Dr. Dayal will begin seeing patients at the SIRM-St. Louis office in mid-December.
The SIRM St. Louis clinical and administrative team, led by Clinical Manager Mary Palmer, RN and Office Manager Rachel Dill, remains intact. As you know, the staff support is as important to ensuring a positive patient experience as the treating physician. We are very lucky to have such a talented, dedicated staff in our St. Louis office.
Dr. Sher and Dr. Dayal will be hosting a free, educational seminar on December 16, 2012 in St Louis to introduce themselves to the local patient community. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to ask questions and meet with Dr. Sher and Dr. Dayal one-on-one.
As is the custom for SIRM, we will be donating a free IVF treatment package to one person/couple in attendance at this seminar. Over the past three years, SIRM has donated more than 50 free IVF cycles (valued at more than $10,000 each) at seminars across the United States. For more information or to register, click HERE.
We look forward to seeing you at the seminar or in our St. Louis Office. We are confident that you will feel comfortable with Dr. Sher and Dr. Dayal guiding you in the next step of your journey from infertility to family.
