IVF Cycle Winner Pregnant with Twins!
A big congratulations to Vicki and Walter – one of the couples that won a donated IVF cycle in our December “I Believe” essay contest. She tells the story best:

Hi everyone! My husband and I were one of the three lucky couples to win a free cycle in the last “I believe” contest. It still feels so surreal to finally be able to say that we are pregnant with identical twins! We cannot thank you all enough for not only voting but also sup…porting us along the way. These two little ones would not be here if it weren’t for all of you, the generosity of SIRM, the awesome Dr. Browne and the entire New York staff. One day when they are old enough we will tell our children the amazing story of how they came to be and of all of the people who helped .
I really hope that our success will show others still on their journey that miracles do happen. We have been trying since 2007 and went through 7 IUIs, 1 previous IVF and FET, which both resulted in chemical pregnancies. There was a lot of pain and disappointment along the way that left an aching hole in my heart. But at our first ultrasound my heart was instantly made whole by the sight of their little beating hearts. It was the most amazing feeling and I pray that all of you will experience that joy one day. I know how hard it can be to remain optimistic at times.
I have kept journals since the beginning of our struggle and as I look back at those pages, many stained with tears, I can now see that God had a plan for us all along. I have learned so much along the way and although I may not understand it all, I can now see there was a reason for everything. Hang in there and reach out to others going through the same thing it helps to know you are not alone.
