At SIRM’s New York fertility clinic, you’ll be under the care of Dr. Drew Tortoriello, a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist (fertility doctor) with more than 10 years of clinical and academic experience in the field of infertility and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

Dr. Tortoriello earned his medical degree at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, during which he was time he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He went on to complete his residency at the New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, after which he underwent his clinical fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, followed by a clinical and basic science fellowship in REI at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical Center.

Dr. Tortoriello has published a number of articles in scientific journals and is actively involved in research to further the development of Reproductive Medicine. He has made numerous presentations (several of which have won awards) at national and international scientific meetings. Most recently, he was elected as a prestigious Women’s Health Research Scholar by the National Institutes for Health.

He is a member of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Endocrine Society, and the Society for the Study of Reproduction.

I switched to Dr. T from one of New York City’s major university fertility practices. The 2 experiences were like night and day!!! The nursing staff always made themselves available to me, even by email, which made communication while at work very efficient. Dr. T listens very carefully to patients’ concerns and shows compassion about the difficult decision one has to made during this process. I can’t say enough about this practice.


Dr. T is the most caring doctor that I have ever encountered. His bedside manner is beyond unbelievable, which is essential in a field such as reproductive endocrinology. Dr. T will always be a special part of our lives, as he made our dreams come true and completed our family.


Dr. Tortoriello is the best doctor I have ever been to, and dealing with infertility, you can be sure I have been to plenty of doctors to be able to give this review with confidence. Dr. T’s bedside manner was the best I have experienced. He is kind and gentle with his tone and always had time to answer the list of questions I came in with every time I saw him. I was terrified during my retreival and he engaged me in conversation until the anesthesiologist put me to sleep. I told him how my heart was pounding out of my chest and how scared I was and he replied, “that’s normal, you are normal,” in the kindest tone which was so reasuring. I can’t say enough about him. I only wish I could continue to see him through my entire pregnancy. Although I never wish to enter back into the infertility circle, if I were to, I would not go to see anyone other than Dr T. Thank you Dr. T for getting me pregnant and being so easily accessible on a daily basis by email, it made the whole process easier to deal with.


First of all- I’m now pregnant thanks to Dr. T and his staff after trying for more than two years. Dr. T and his entire staff from receptionists, to office manager to his nurses are all outstanding. I’ll miss them now that I have to move on to an OB. They made the entire process of infertility treatments bearable and comfortable. I can’t thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone.
