Day Before FET
Tomorrow we put two of our babies back where they belong !!!
I’m excited! I had my intralipids done on Tuesday (my arm is black & blue) but well worth it. Afterwards I felt bloated but the nurse told me it’s normal with the intralipids. I had my last doctor appointment today where Dr. Peters checked my lining, which it is right on track where it needs to be. And my blood work came back fine too!
This past week I started my crinone supposits. I’m taking 8% Crinone progesterone gel. They don’t seem to be as bad or messy as the endometrin. Crinone is a suppository which provides progesterone in the lining of the uterus. This will help our baby snuggle down inside and make a home for the next 9 months. The uterus needs to have a good healthy thick lining right around the time of implantation and so progesterone plays a vital role in an IVF cycle. I was reading some of the side effects of the crinone and I was not thrilled, but nor surprised…
The most common side effects of CRINONE (progesterone gel) include breast enlargement, constipation, drowsiness, nausea, headache, and pain in the pubic area.
I’m a lot better mentally, physically and emotionally this time around then I was with the first cycle of IVF we did in March. The fresh cycle I was being pumped with other drugs for egg retrieval, and this cycle is significantly less stressful because we don’t have to do retrieval again!
Joel, Maverick (our dog) and myself are all ready for Tuesday. I still pray for a healthy baby, but I would love to have my baby twins, a boy and a girl.
On another note, just wanted to invite everybody to join me on August 15th to the movies .. well, we can all be somewhere in the world watching this! This is a first for Disney .. a movie about a couple who wish nothing more than to have a baby and battle infertility.
Academy Award®–nominated director/writer Peter Hedges (“Dan in Real Life,” What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?”) brings enchantment to the screen with “The Odd Life of Timothy Green,” an inspiring, magical story about a happily married couple, Cindy and Jim Green (Jennifer Garner and Joel Edgerton), who can’t wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. When young Timothy (CJ Adams) shows up on their doorstep one stormy night, Cindy and Jim—and their small town of Stanleyville—learn that sometimes the unexpected can bring some of life’s greatest gifts.
